I discover investing
A friend tells me about companies that pay dividends and the patience behind long-term investing.
After years using spreadsheets, brokers and scattered data, I am building a tool to analyze companies, track real portfolios and make decisions with more context.
A story of curiosity, many nights of manual work and an idea coming back stronger.
A friend tells me about companies that pay dividends and the patience behind long-term investing.
I read Gregorio Hernandez, buy my first companies and discover that dividends make time feel measurable.
I create the site because I cannot find a clear, modern platform truly built for dividend investors.
In May we created the Instagram account @dividendos.info. Today we are more than 2,500 investors connected by the same idea: learn, share and build portfolios with more clarity.
After investing from Spain, I open an Interactive Brokers account to access companies in the United States and other markets. Currencies, withholding taxes, statements and a harder-to-track portfolio become part of the problem.
I decide to put my knowledge and time into building a daily-updated platform, connected with IBKR and designed so investors can move beyond spreadsheets.
It began in Madrid, when I was around 26, during a conversation with a close friend. I saw the stock market as something distant, but he kept pushing me to read about long-term investing and dividends.
One day he said something simple: this company paid me dividends today, so dinner is basically free. That sentence clicked.
What started as curiosity became a real passion. First came the books, then the first positions and, slowly, an uncomfortable feeling: I did not have a clear way to know whether I was buying well, whether the dividend was sustainable or how much income I was really collecting.
In May 2019 we created the Instagram community @dividendos.info. Today we are more than 2,500 investors connected by the same idea: learning, sharing ideas and building dividend portfolios with more clarity.
In 2020 I opened an Interactive Brokers account to start investing outside Spain, especially in US companies. That step made it obvious that spreadsheets were becoming too fragile: currencies, withholding taxes, calendars, statements and multiple brokers were hard to keep organized.
For years I updated dividends, histories, companies, rankings, calendars, portfolio tools, newsletter and social channels mostly by hand. It was a lot of work, but it also helped me understand the problem deeply.
In November 2024 my twins Alessandro and Stefano were born. Dividendos.info paused, but the idea never left. In December I created a portfolio for them, built for their future, and that portfolio will also be part of this new chapter: Premium users will be able to follow it in detail.
In 2025, lack of time collided with an obvious reality: the previous website was too manual to become what I had in mind. I started thinking about a daily-updated platform, with complete data, IBKR sync and Premium tools so investors could move beyond spreadsheets.
In 2026 I decided to dedicate my knowledge and time to building the new dividendos.info for investors seeking income through dividend companies.
This is not a tool built from outside the problem: it comes from years of investing, recording dividends, comparing companies and talking with other investors.
Dividendos.info is designed to take you from an idea to a decision: find a company, review its dividend, compare it, save it to your portfolio and track real payments.
Key metrics, dividend history and quality signals with context.
Positions, real income, upcoming payments and strategy evolution.
Rankings and comparisons to better prioritize where to focus.
Connect your account and avoid manually recording positions, movements and dividends.
Create your portfolio, sync Interactive Brokers, track your income and use real data to make better decisions.
